Everest firsts

This project was for the ISTD 2015 competition, creating a 42 page french fold book. The brief chosen was Milestones, focusing the response on ‘Mount Everest firsts’, in regards to the individuals who have conquered it in different mediums. Interesting facts have been included throughout the book to break the content up across the pages. Taking into consideration that many people may not know what has happened and still happens on the world’s highest mountain, the book informs the reader about the severe environmental factors, historical firsts achieved while also commanding the climber’s success. 

For those who attempt to climb Everest, whether it’s breaking a new world record ‘first’, or the unbridled fulfilment of successfully ascending the top of the highest mountain, or that fact any other, this book could prove the catalyst to inspire them.
